Just pulled the trigger on a Fujifilm X-Pro1 with the 35mm 1.4 lens. Hopefully have a chance to give it a proper whirl over the next couple of days while I'm Edmonton. Not sure how the street life in the downtown will be outside of work hours - it was non-existent when I lived here over 10 years ago (but I think they were working on making it more vibrant).

When I have some decent photos and a good impression set i'll start a new thread and post my thoughts there (if anyone is interested).

J.

What was the cost on all of that --- the 35mm isn't sold in a kit is it?

The images quality in that camera is simply amazing.

If I had the disposable cash and shot in color, I'd have me one.

No there is no kit option. The camera was $1700 and the lens $600. Luckily being in Edmonton I only pay 5% tax instead of 13%.

Definitely. We can arrange a downtown street photoshoot (now that I actually have a camera again). I'm pretty open (other than Wednesday) next week if you are game.

Isn't there a social coming up you'll both be at? On an island somewhere? Not that I'm against setting up a street shoot event where we look at Jordan's camera. ;)

Hey Jordan

Very cool. I am still mulling it over, and probably will get one eventually. I think you made the right choice going with the 35. I lean to that lens as well. The other two are OK, but the new lenses that are supposed to show up later this year or next look more attractive. I would rather hold the money for additional lenses until they are released.
