Hi ppl! :)

I've got the SONY GPS-CS1 as a gift from a friend and I don't have the CD with the softwares and I can't use it. :( As I remember some of you have this GPS, could you please make a copy of the CD softwares and share it with me?

- GPS Image Tracker
- Picture Motion Browser

On theyr website is available for download only an updater for the traker and it doesn't work without the full version of the software.

It came with software?

It should just connect to your computer like a regular USB keydrive. The .gpx files are time stamped.

I can import the .gpx files direct into Aperture. Before that, I needed to convert them. There should be free software for that, or find a web-based online convertor.

Hi Stefan

I am sure I have the software at home, but have never used it :)
Are you on a Mac or PC.
When I get home tonight I will let you know what software I have and use. It is all freeware.

Thanks for your reply,

I found the gpx file on the gps but I think I need a software that can import the data from the gpx file and add it to the exif of the photos and I was thinking to use the software that sony provide with the gps. I don't know any other softwares that can do this.

I'm using ACDSee and My FinePix to organize photos and these does not support GPX files. :(

I'm using a PC with Windows 7 x64.

Tim, what software do you use for this job?

I use this software to tag the raw files with the gps data.

http://www.geosetter.de/en/

It uses the Sony .log files no problem and shows map tracks.
I also use this program to convert gps data files if needed.

Just dug out the cd, and the software is dated from 2006. There probably been three generations of cameras since then, so chances are it won't read your image files anyway.

Thanks guys, I've tried the softwares from you and everything works perfect.

Seren, it wasn't brand new, my friend use it before and he told me about the cd. ;)

2006?, wow, that's old!
