fail to see why. This doesn't bring anything more useful to the table. They got rid of the express key displays, so now to see what each key is, you need to press another button to get it displayed on the screen. picked up using my finger on the tablet. OK what does that do for me. Now I have to put down the pen to do gestures? OK what good does that do. I have the wheel that gives me access to all the gesture movements I would want. The pen is the same. if anything having the multi touch will be worse as now I have to watch what my other hand is doing as if I miss the express key it's going to take it as a screen touch and mess up what I was doing.

I'll stick with the 4 thank you.

I'm very happy with my Intuos 3 6"x11"
Photoshop and Lightroom are SO much better with it.

No way...not until they work out the calibration issues; there's no way to calibrate the iPad touchscreen...that's fine for fingers or the "flat tire" stylus, but not for precision work.

I use a Wacon Cintiq, and before that a tablet PC with an N-Trig multi-touch and pressure sensitive stylus, and the iPad is decades behind.

I know it's not apple, but that's where tablets are gonna be heading.

Until they can do the pressure sensitivity too, they are never going to compete.

I like the idea of touch. It brings the WACOM one step closer to actual illustration. Being able to zoom and rotate canvas on the fly for things like drawing strands of hair… sweet. If it integrates well with my 3D app (I have some doubts as its new) it would be a godsend. Zooming and moving a 3D model for stitching NURBS/polygons or even 3D texture painting? Could be cool. Very cool!

Once they embed a retina display into a 9x12 or larger it will be a done deal – Perfection.

Just purchased the new Wacom Intuos 5 , can't wait to try it out tonight. It's going to be a big upgrade from my old Bamboo Pen & touch.
