Indeed! Certainly looks a lot smaller than the cotton carrier I recently bought!

Interesting item, but would prefer a regular screw instead of the thumb screw to lock it closed. I'll stick with my spiderpro for now.

OKay, so I took the plunge. I'm guessing by the time he gets through making 5000 of them, I should get mine sometime in September...

Mine shipped a few days ago, but it's USPS so who knows when it'll get here. Anyone else get one?

Mine arrived today - I'll put it though some paces during my next outing and report back.

However neat and innovative it may be, I see this successfully utilized only on small and light cameras.
I would not even think about carrying a pro-lens without a strap (never-mind that weight might rip the pants off  )

Aaaand, that's pretty much what I've found.

For me the problem is not the strap, which I'm OK forgoing - the problem is that with a decent DSLR (D300+MB-D10+30/1.4) the weight is such that the lower part of the clip digs into my leg. To be honest I think it'd fit better on slimmer people (My Wii calls me obese). Conversely, my Cotton Carrier belt strap, while bulky, distributes the weight over a much larger surface.

That being said, the D300+30/1.4 (w/o battery pack) is fine, which would work well for me when shooting events, since that's what I grab. For the D3000/5000 crowd I think the Capture is an excellent idea. My super-dorky Cotton Carrier chestplate will still get duty on all the nature hikes.

The Arca-Swiss plate seems to fit fine in my ballhead. However, there's no anti-twist to the plate. It does have a handy-dandy accessory hole, as well as strap mount for a hand strap.
