Anyone know of a place in the GTA that sells sheets of honeycomb material like the ones used in gridspots?

I just use Coroplast, cut it into strips, and tape the pieces together. You can make the grid any size you want. It's available at Currys Art Supply or any sign shop.

I have coroplast for hot shoe flashes. I wanted something for a 22" alien bees beauty dish. The original AB grid is not a bad price but the shipping cost is almost the same as the grid itself.

@PotatoEYE: You're right. I meant "glue" in the general sense of sticking them together (I should have been more specific). Personally, I've just used hockey tape in the past.

@KOL: You should also check out Craigslist or photo flea markets for some metal grids; you might be able to find some for cheap.

You can get 4'x8' sheets of coroplast at home depot

Try a lighting shop. Some recessed florescent tube lighting fixtures have a grid that you could use.

I did make one out of the flourescent egg crates. (which arent too bad btw esp at 10 bucks for a 2'x4' sheet). But right now i'm specifically looking for honeycomb sheets. Thanks for the relplies and suggestions though.
