Just wondering who has dealt with them before? Can I just walk in if I need some service? Need to make an appointment? If I had purchased something within the year and would like them to look at it / calibrate it does it cost anything?

mucho gracias.

I recently had a warranty repair on my 35mm f1.8 DX lens..... It was purchased at Henry's.. So I just got them to send it to Nikon for repair. Came back with brand new AFS motor installed, problem solved.

Just walk in. They will take a look at the item, call you in a few days with a quote and to ask for repair authorization. Obviously, if it is under warranty, they will just go ahead and repair it. Bring as much "proof" as you can of your problem. You might want to bring the corresponding body or lens that you used when you had the problem. Otherwise, it is likely they will tell you everything is within "specs". Good luck.

Since Nikon is up near 401/Dixie you can just drive in and talk the person at the reception desk. If your problem is under warranty they will take the camera/lenses etc together. If calibration is a problem such as focusing I also suggest you take your lenses too as they may ask for them all.

They will also ask for your purchase receipt and photocopy it. They didn't ask me for my warranty card.

They will also give you an estimated length of time.

You could go to the camera store where you bought your equipment like Henry's or Vistek but do you trust them?
