I'm in the market for a new HD monitor, and was wondering what some of you have? (Sort of help me narrow it down a little, so to speak)

Well it really depends on what you plan on using the monitor for.

If you are looking for something higher end for processing/editing your photos on then you will want a monitor that has an IPS screen.

There are several manufacturers that will sell these higher end screens. Apple, Dell, HP, Samsung, Nec, etc. They will generally run you at least $400 and up for a 24inch screen ($400 would usually be the sale price).

I have a Dell U2410 (regular price is $699). I got mine on sale for like under $500 a couple of years ago (the older model of this) but it develop issues and Dell (under warranty) replaced it with the new model. I also have an iMac (so a built in apple 27 inch screen as well).

I hope this helps.

Cheers

Jordan

I'm not sure how technical you want to get but I would research wide colour gamut monitors. The NEC and DELL monitors have a Wide Colour Gamut while the HP does not (that I know of). WG monitors are great for editing photos but there's lots of complaints when it comes to mixed use. Gaming, web sites, etc.
