hello. i just want to know if anyone here had any problems on shipment with this seller? i ordered a couple of flashes and triggers with him back on December 14, 2010 and i haven't received them yet. he did give me a tracking number but there's no movement on the tracking since January 06, 2011. Should i file a complaint on Paypal or wait a lil more?

if anyone had any dealings with him and this is normal then i wouldn't be worried. i was also thinking that maybe it got caught with the Christmas rush. the pacakge by the way is coming from SHENZHEN i don't know if that helps.

TIA

Have you emailed the seller to ask? I also ordered something from China via eBay around the same time and after a month of waiting I emailed the seller. Turns out it was never actually sent due to some fishy sounding story.

If Paypal's policy is still 30-days to dispute, I'd file the complaint immediately.

it's a legit seller, I'd send them an e-mail saying that you're concerned and wish to resolve it

Things from china have been on a Very slow boat lately. They have been are pretty good in the past. I made an order for stuff in early December from Deal Extreme and still no show.

Probably a backlog in Customs.

Maxsaver has had a good turnaround for me, less that 2 weeks approximately.

My order fr HK took 5 weeks to get to my mail box! It was sent out on Dec 5, 2010. (Well the item that I ordered only worth C$2)

So sit back, send the seller a request update of your item & wait. For sure is back log in custom.

As long as the tracking result stated left the origin, it should be fine. CP never updated the system until it got delivered!

if it's on a boat it could take longer than a week or two to get to a north american port...

I ordered a set of triggers from them and it took about 4-5 weeks to arrive.
I was provided a tracking number which showed that it took 7 days to clear Canadian customs and arrive at my door.

whenever i order something off ebay and its getting close to pay pals limit to file for an investigation... i always send the seller an email saying that I have not recieved the product yet and it is getting close to the paypals cut off date and warn them that I will be filing a complaint within a couple days if the matter is not solved..

.. most of the time it results in a voluntary refund... and.. the product arriving a week or so later

:D

i know..
im kind of a jerk....

The tracking has shown at least the vendor sent something. Hang on until almost the end of dispute deadline before filing a claim.
BTW how much was involved? Also what is the rating of the vendor? If it is under $50 do not bother even with the filing. Just wait for the shipment

Daniel

I've purchased some items on e-Bay from Chinese sellers that have taken as long as 6-8 weeks to arrive.

Yup, I'm waiting for a YN-560 Flash which I purchased on Dec 13th. I sent them a question via ebay yesterday and they responded very quickly and offered to reship a flash. I'm willing to wait another week before asking them to resend. The tracking info shows that it was stuck in the "transit office of exchange" (whatever that is  ) from Dec 14 until Jan 6 and it left China in then. We'll see how it goes.

I order a ton of stuff off of eBay and my experience with chinese sellers has always been good. It just usually takes a while, 4-6 weeks, unless it's something expensive, like a lens, then its much faster as it usually comes via EMS courier.

On a side note, i bought an expensive(1K$+) lens last year off of ebay from Japan and was super impressed. It arrived litterally in 4 days, and i paid 0$ import fees. Even the lady at the post office was impressed at how well the forms were filled out by the seller.

did everyone else get their stuff from them yet?

where can i get yongnuo flashes aside from this seller who's safe?

TIA.

Thats funny I had the exact same problem with this seller when I ordered the yn-560 in December. I ended up contacting him and he re-shipped the item and it showed up in 3 weeks. I've also ordered flash triggers from him which took 3 weeks and this was the year before.
