Hey I`ve googled this already but wanted direct user feedback on this.

Is the shutter button supposed to require a GREAT DEAL of pressure to shoot? So much that using it rotates/shifts the camera`s focus for a bit? I bought this grip used.

I`m using the isoprop. alcohol to clean the botton area and it seems to help.

This is the grip with the gold colored contacts.

Thanks!

grip shutter button should have the same feel as the one on the camera.

The BG-E2 shutter button should not be any stiffer than the camera shutter button.

OP, I know you PM'd me already but for the benefit of anyone else who is experiencing this issue on a Canon, I successfully cleaned mine myself for a few dollars. The button got progressively worse over the course of time.

It has been perfect for the last six plus months.

Thanks for the input everyone.

I've added something to Jamesy's post.

Now the shutter button works great.

I've got to leave some not so nice feedback for someone.....
