I recently bought pentax camera for second body..
I was going to use many old manual lenses but it is hard to find it, so far.. I tried Kijiji and Craiglist so far.. (tried e-bay as well but e-bay type of deal is just not my type..)

Is there any local used shops or camera shops who deals used pentax mount lenses???

If anyone knows, please, let me know....

Thanks...

What PE said, or the big photographic sales events held two-three times a year. Check out Toronto Star, at classifieds under 427 Photography.

Ebay does provide more chance to get decent deal for Pentaxians. But overall if you can locate it you get better deal from Craiglist if you are a buyer

Contrary to what was said above, camera shows or Henry are not the venue for Pentax lenses

Henry's outlet has quite a bit of M42 and old K lenses, both crap and some ok ones, but the price is 2x the e-bay, the latter is the best way to get used lenses if you can't find local deals

you might wanna try your luck at a couple pawn shops, which happen to be around Henry's downtown location. One guy has a few pieces, he's on the north side of Queen across from Henry's, but I warn that he was an absolute b*tch to deal with (YMMV) when I was there. Not from a price perspective, because the conversation didn't even get that far.

I checked out the Henry's used stuff (their outlet is no longer near their DT store) and the prices were not great... at all. You may also want to check out pentaxforums.com, which is supported by the Pentax community quite well and has an active marketplace. I've purchased from there on many occasions.

Ahaha, I think I know who you are talking about. Some old guy who drinks like a fish (well, he was semi drunk when I saw him) and pretty much rants at everyone that walks in? If it's the same guy, if you want to have a ball listening to him argue with his customers then it's fairly amusing. If you want to actually buy something I think I'll give him a pass. I remember wanting to take a look at a Zorki 4 (or 4K, can't remember) and he was trying to pawn it off as if it was working but the camera was pretty much a brick (i.e. no moving parts...). Still, an amusing experience. Definitely a character.

On a more serious note, you might want to try the big camera show that the Photographic Historical Society of Canada (http://www.phsc.ca/) has. Prices are more than what you can find on ebay but there is generally a pretty good selection of K and M42 mount lenses. Next show Nov 28 it seems.
And yes, Henry's is a decent place to find them as well.
And at least with the above two you can look and try them before you buy.
