I am a Canon shooter but I had the priveldge of shooting the 200/2.0 on a D3 a few weeks back and WOW!

It almost made me want to jump ship...then I realized Canon have one too so it is now on my bucket list of lenses.

To me 200mm has very small DoF already. Even at F3.5, the isolation of the background is quite completed . Bokeh of course is subjective though. That is an overkill. And it is huge too

It is (the old one) huge, when I shot with it two weeks back, it was on a monopod and even then it was combersome. Although, I have never shot with glass of that caliber before.

200 at 2.0 can isolate a tree in the middle of a forest though...
