Hi - I've got an old Olympus Pen EED half-frame viewfinder that was working but whose aperture blades/shutter/spring/whatever seems to have stopped wanting to open when the shutter button is pushed. I'm sure it just needs to be cleaned and/or lubed, but the repair prices I've been quoted have been quite high ($120+) for intake and labour.

this is not an expensive camera but it is in really good shape otherwise, is fun to use and has some sentimental value and I'd like to have it working rather than just sit as decor, but am conscious that spending that much to get it there may not be sensible. Can anyone recommend someone in the city who can get this thing working again for somewhat less $$?

thanks

I take no liability for any damage if you decide to do so! lol
