Anybody here have one and can comment on its IQ, performance, etc.?

I have read many reviews online about focusing issues with this lens and wanted to hear some experiences from some users here. Of course, there were many positive reviews about the lens as well.

It will be used on a FX body.

Thanks

what issues have you heard about ? I used, I think, a non final version and the focus throw was longish but accurate. this means it's not super zippy but for wide work, not as essential for me as it is for long lens work. photos were sharp as expected so when the budget is rubber stamped, I'll be getting one and anything else in the pipeline

@130meow, Wow great shots.

On the second picture of the couple walking down the isle did you apply any noise reduction? I like this shot at ISO 2500, so clean.

No noise reduction. That's why I like the D3. Now with the 24/1.4 it's a killer combo.

I tried a copy from Vistek and didn't focus past 10' with my D3s but worked fine with a D700...

The one I've been using was purchased from Downtown Camera and it's now perfect with both my D3s.

Awesome lens, but not worth the + $400 price tag over the Canon 24L mk2.

I just need a fast Nikon 35 and I'm good to go...
