This only pertains to those shooting video.

A growing list of lenses that seem to be affected by the auto iris issue when used with a 5D MKII and the newest firmware. An earlier report says that this was a "normal" function of the camera.

Supposedly the 7D with the newest firmware seems to be acting in the same manner.

Thanks for the info.
Good thing I haven't updated my 7D to the latest firmware, cuz I love using my 100macro IS which is listed as "affected"
... although, I'm not doing any video with the 100 macro in manual mode.

Don't update....unless you have to.

But it does solve the temperature warning icon problem coming too often/early.
