....count me out. Too small.
My caffeine addiction requires a much BIGGER lens mug, perhaps the 100-400 size.

Unless it comes with a lens hood attachment to increase coffee intake!!!

The mug's available for pre-order at The Camera Store:
http://www.thecamerastore.com/canonlensmug

And it's $5 cheaper than Henry's/Vistek.

So what do we think the chances of this eventually becoming a regular stock sort of thing for Canon to make a few thousand % profit? I ask because this is the sort of thing I would prefer to pick up in a store than pay $25ish or more dollars plus shipping for. I don't even drink coffee... You think they're really gonna go limited edition?

Well, don't expect a premium thermal mug my friend. Remember this meant to be a freebie give-away made in China. It is not even dishwasher safe.

I wonder if they used lead free paint?

That's why I am keeping it just as a collector's item. Not sure what maybe found in the stainless steel interior lining. But then nowadays everything you buy is probably made in China anyways so you can't worry too much.

How many cars do you think will get broken into having this stupid thing sitting in the cup holder?

Said that way back on page 1, 10th reply:

"Just don't leave it sitting out in the open in your car...it's a break-in waiting to happen."

Please people - STOP buying these mugs.
Why? Because if they are too successful then Canon might throw too much of their resources in to selling these gimmicks. Then their R&D and marketing gurus will be spending time on developing silly bit profitable junk gimmicks. Soon they'll have G10 cigarette holders for the China market and Canon suspenders made from camera straps....with less resources spent on camera technology
