Its $129 at Futureshop.

Should I?

Should I not?

I have a collection of maybe about 60 slides from last year I like, and about over a 100 slides from parents 30 years ago to digitize.

Is the V300 a good buy?

Reviews say its good. PC Mag says Editor's Pick.

Considering the number of slides/frames you want to scan, it's probably worth investing in a version other than the entry level.

I'm still saving up for a v500, so others may be able to opine on the results.

Henry's outlet downtown has a few open boxes for $200 ($276 from FS).

Yes the V500 is far away a better scanner.

I found the V500 at Henry's outlet for $210 plus tax.

Then i found a friend who found a Nikon film/slide scanner in his uncle's basement, so going to use that for free....

but the V500 at $210 is quite nice.
