Would someone happen to have a Canon EF 17-40mm L f/4 that they wouldn't mind me try for a couple of minutes? I don't want to rent it for just a couple of minute play... I can in turn give you my 100mm 2.8 macro lens to play. This isn't for the day etc, just maybe 5-10 mins, I want to see through it before I buy.
I know we have some generous people on the forum here! :wink: We could meet somewhere convenient for both of us. Thanks guys!

Couldn't you go to any Henrys or Vistek or Blacks and do just that?

I guess I could in-store only... I'd rather do it on the street to choose subject I want, I find stores a little unrepresentative of lens' capability :lol: thanks for the suggestion though, totally slipped my mind

Many stores will let you step outside with the sales rep. If they don't go to one that does.

I was at Downtown Camera last Saturday and a fellow was looking at a camera and asked to step outside and the sales guy said no problem and went outside with him while he shot some frames.
