Hey Carlton --- Mennonites (not Memmonites) are much more liberal than the Pennsylvania Dutch aka: Amish. The Amish do not like to be photographed. Wheras Menonites (of German decent) generally don't care nearly as much - although some are still a bit camera shy.


Actually the Pennsylvania Dutch are German. Dutch is a bastardization of Deutsch. I think Pennsylvania still has a city called Germantown.

I was under the same under the impression but when I was looking for what to do there I found what lxdesign mentioned. In st jacobs website you can actually see some pictures (mennonite museum): http://www.stjacobs.com/html/village_museums.html#mennonite

There is also a "Mennonite archive of ontario":
http://grebel.uwaterloo.ca/mao/query.asp

On the other hand, they are kids and I didn't have parents approval, so on that ground maybe I shouldn't have taken the picture.... (I tried capturing all of them looking at the train coming but when I fire, the kid on the left look to the other side)

Like how the repetition of the logos on the stairs lead the eye to the subject and love the detail in the falling rain. But DON'T like Carlsberg - crap beer.

so, there's this puppet opera set up as part of a local temple fundraiser. In the distant past, I suppose it would have attracted a huge audience, but now, they only play 'for the gods', and to no mortals. I caught a picture of the going-ons behind the curtain:
