What: Official TPMG Monthly Clinic: Landscapes!
Where: 651 Dufferin Street, St. Anne's Parish Hall.
When: Thursday June 14 7PM
Bring: Anything to do with Landscape - including enthusiasm and interest. Plus money for post landscape libations.
Additional Info: None yet.

What is the TPMG Monthly Clinic? See the Official TPMG Monthly Clinic Discussion Page for more information.

I am going to be leading this one. You can see some of my Landscape photography here. I'll be talking about gear (mostly lenses and filters), settings, processing, a bit about composition and scouting plus a few tips and tricks I've picked up along the way. If you think you can do better, great! Come out and we'll all chat. My little bit at the beginning is just a starting point.

A lot of this will be example based. Does anyone have suggestions on where we could have this and have access to a projector? The Fill Station in the Beach is a maybe if we have 10+.

Thank you to lxdesign we now have a spot to meet! :) 651 Dufferin Street, St. Anne's Parish Hall.

I will either be tight for time, or late, depending on the location chosen.

And there is a bar right around the corner -- called "This Way Up" where we can go afterwards ....

Cool. Just got a lens with some width to it so i'm in.

Anything else I need. Tripod? (Last time I came out for Macro without a tripod because I'm a noob and no one mentioned it in the post).

Generally for photographing landscape .... a good sturdy tripod is a must! Especially if you are thinking about dabbling in HDR work, or for long exposure.

What landscapes would you like to shoot? :D That will be one of the topics we will touch upon - get out of the city and go somewhere neat. So no, there will be no shooting. People are welcome to bring cameras if they want to talk about specifics regarding how to use certain gear for landscapes or for shooting beforehand.

Hi all, I will be out of town from Wednesday on, hate to be missing this workshop, hopefully there will be a repeat as I am very interested in learning landscape photography.

I am sure there will be another one of these but I don't know how soon. Perhaps a field clinic in the Fall...not sure how we'd do that but it's possible.

Use your mirrors and always be aware of the corners of your car. :D We'll have to wait for lxdesign to pipe in for an informative non-sarcastic answer. I don't know the area at all.

Back in. It's safer.

Last time for the town hall meeting I parked in the parking lot of the church/hall. There is a Green P a couple of blocks north of the hall off Dufferin Street (north of College), but it is an alley and I thought it a little too out of sight and an invite to the less moral (9 Bonar Place). The parking at the church is accessed of Gladstone.

If folks want to take available parking spots next to building..... Please park in the spots labelled Workman Arts. Parking lot entrance off of Gladstone....proceed to the upper lot please.... Do not park in the lower lot, as those spots are reserved for Cadbury, and they do check occassionally.
