I was just informed by my wife that we had been booked at another social engagement for June 4. Rats. So I signed up for the 25th.

I was going to ask about how you plan to divy up the model time. Here is a suggestion and what I was hoping for. If everyone gets a straight 30 minutes, we're basically getting one setup. I get exhausted after shooting for 10 minutes. On the other hand selecting several locations/situations and cycling through the team in shorter bursts will give everyone more variety and interaction. One can get lights ready and set up while a colleague is shooting and jump in for 5 minutes to get the shots.

Even though I will not be attending the Engagement Sessions I would like to thank Rhommel for putting these sessions together, volunteering his time and giving up multiple Saturdays. You're a good man bro.

rhommel, thank you for your time.
Payment sent for 25th. You may want to change the total open slots for 25th as Simon is attending two sessions.

That sounds good Rhommel.
Do you think the area around the Sakura trees will be most productive?

**edit**
if i do happen to be in town on the 25th and there's a spot open, then i'll sign up for that session too (so both 4th & 25th). i'll update as soon as i know.

I was wondering, since I've never been to High Park and I'm not sure of what's there, do we have backup plan for Rain?

Good question, especially with latest weather development.

unfortunately, not a lot of options if it rains that day. one option is to shoot the couple in a studio. another option is to reschedule.

If you have any suggestions, please post them here.

Sounds good to me

UPDATE:

We'll meet at the Grenadier Restaurant. I want us to meet at 12pm instead. The models are paid from 1pm - 6pm so I don't want to waste their paid time by waiting for everyone to come. This will also give me time to talk for about 15-30 minutes (giving pointers, giving handouts) . I hope this is ok with everyone?

Works for me ... I'll be there!

Ken.

Hi Guys,
My sons team soccer photo just got announced and it's on June 11th, as an assistant coach (more like kid wrangler for 6 year olds) I have to be there. Anyone interested in swapping from the June 25th to June 11th with me?

If there's any drop out from the June 4th session, I can take over the spot.

I may be a bit late if the lightning keeps up since I have to walk from the subway, but I'm packed and ready to go.

Thanks Rhommel for setting up this session, for all the initial directions you provided and putting up with us for 5 hours. I admit I was skeptical (due to a hostile weather) when I arrived there but it turned out to be a pleasant day and with some luck I'll get some keepers. And of course, thanks for letting me try those beautiful lenses :)

Thanks Rhommel for organizing this event. It's always a pleasure! I honestly cannot believe there is such a beautiful piece of paradise nestled in the heart of the city. Fantastic location! I loved it there! :D
