What: Colour Challenge II
When: Sun. Apr. 18, 2010
Time: 2PM
Where: outside Broadview Station
Bring: camera, comfortable shoes, a good eye for colour

Another challenge for the TPMG collective:

Each person will draw a colour out of a hat, which will be their colour for the day. We'll walk around the Greektown neighbourhood and look for ways to capture that colour in as many different situations as possible. Hopefully it will help you to look at the world in a slightly different way!

The shooting part of the event will probably go until about 4:00pm and at the end of the challenge, maybe we'll stop for a drink somewhere nearby!

Is there a rule on bringing spouses? He is not in the group but he likes to shoot now and then. I don't want to break and rules as a newbie!

For an event like this, where there is no limit to the number of attendees, it's not a problem at all. Bring him along!

Would love to come to this one, it would be my very first meet up. I will be very very close to the location, but it is my daughter's 18th birthday, so will be busy doing the family BBQ thing that day.

Happy shooting, I unfortunately still won't be able to make it :S

I'm about 95% sure I can make it. Assuming I don't space & totally forget! This will be my first meet. I'll be (one of) the one looking confused, unsure, and with a bright blue crumpler camera bag.

Question though, I come from out of the city, does anyone have suggestions for a good/safe/inexpensive parking lot near by?

I'm not 100% sure if street parking in that area will allow me to park for the whole time without having to run back. (Which I find irritating)

i'd likely would try to find a green P parking area coz they usually charge around $5.00-$10.00 for the whole day during weekends...if you're early maybe there are some sidestreets in there that offers free parking during weekends ( I pressumed... )

Looks like Sunday is not going to be the high of 16 that was predicted, but a comfortable 12C. As long as it doesn't rain, we're good!

I personally am planning to find parking on a side street for the afternoon. There is free side street parking in the area, and I'm more familiar with the parking toward Logan (east of where we're meeting, but along where we'll be walking).

Also, if anyone needs my cell # before the event, please PM me before Sunday morning.

Guys- there is Green P parking just north of Danforth slightly East of Broadview- you can go on Danforth or go on Broadview and take your first right- over a couple of blocks. You will have passed the Broadview station, which is where we meet. THis way you won't have to worry.

it's been a while since I've been out with the group (been taking some much needed lessons). This looks like a fun event. I will try and join you.

it's my first time out. really looking forward to participating. i don't visit this area often and was debating on driving down or taking the subway...
